Aims and objectives of the
course:
The course aims to introduce the concept of
risk awareness and the importance of health and safety on a shooting
production. It aims to promote the awareness on crew, actors, helpers and all
other people involved and encourage them to identify and report any possible
hazards.
Course program:
- Risk awareness on events: what it means and
what are the benefits. - Organisation chart: who are the people involved
and what responsibilities they have. - Most effective ways to control hazards: The
hierarchy of controls to determine which actions will best control exposures - What are the safety rules for a film
production?

– Risk assessment
– Risk assessment process
- Typical safety hazards on set: slips trips and
falls, manual handling, electricity and lighting equipment, weather, fire
safety, working at height, catering, use of MEWP’S, driving general. - Further safety hazards on a shooting
production: weapons, animals, use of drone, stunts and special effects. - Voulnerable workers: Children, pregnant workers
and new mothers. - Emergency procedures: fire emergency procedure,
first aid and welfare. - How to promote health and safety on a shooting
production? Safety meetings, conduct a comprensive risk assessment, safety
protocols, safety equipment and training, mental health support.
Final test:
Final assessment with multiple-choice test.
Certificate:
The individual certificates will be issued upon
completion of the course and passing the learning assessment test.
